Trip to Villeneuve-Les-Avignon - 12th November 2016

Dawn view from the house

Today we made a trip to Villeneuve-Les-Avignon to see the Saturday morning flea-market As the name suggests, this is a small pretty 17th century town very close to Avignon, which we passed on the way.

Having seen the Pont Ávignon, I now know why people dance on it, but more of that in another installment.

The flea market is held on the outskirts. Pretty much like a flea market in the UK, but with a give-away gallic twist. Books, advertising enamel signs, and school wall maps all in French!

As Pauline says: If we are going to trapse around then there has to be a reward at the end of it. i.e.food!. And voila, a food truck selling fresh oysters and boiled prawns at Euro12 per dozen.

French scooters and other tat!
