And so it begins

On the 4th of October 2016, Pauline, my wife, our dog, Magnus, two cats, Teddy and Tiger, and I, John, will be driving from London in a Land Rover Discovery to spend up to 6 months in Rasteau in Provence, where we have rented a house.

It is all a bit of an adventure.

We have lived in Hong Kong for the last 17 years. Apart from regular visits to the UK and short holidays, we haven't spent much time in continental Europe. To add a little more spice to the trip, my French is 'o' level standard from 30 odd years ago, while Pauline speaks none at all.

Hopefully, it will be interesting.

Addendum: We started in France and then moved to Tuscany, where we stayed for several months, finally ending up in London in July 2017. Since then it has evolved into a blog of travel - even as far as Japan and general interest...

Thank you for reading.

John
